Young Achiever of the Year
We would like to nominate Susie Power who has just turned six years of age for the Young Achiever award. At the age of just four, Susie landed the part of Eleanor Daly on RTE's Fair City soap opera. Susie's character is the daughter of Dr Brendan Daly and his wife Heather. Susie has had very dramatic storylines since she joined the soap that year and will be returning to our screens from September. In addition to Fair City, Susie was also cast in the lead child role of a short thriller film, "My father is a Scientist" which was recently filmed and is in postproduction at the moment.
Susie is a multi-talented little girl. She has been the youngest member to qualify for the World Championships Of Performing Arts to represent Ireland at the event in Los Angeles in 2008 and 2009. This year, Susie was a multi-medallist in her age category for acting, singing, dancing and modelling and brought the Gold medal back for her fantastic rendition of "The Story of love". Also upcoming is her role as "Thumbelina" (the outspoken miniature Christmas Fairy) for the Teenline Ireland Christmas Pantomime, Moat Theatre, Naas, running during December. As well as drama and singing classes, Susie attends ballet, tap dancing, ballroom dancing, Irish dancing and French lessons.
Susie is a lovable, friendly and happy-go-lucky little girl. As well as drama, dance, singing and modelling, Susie loves to colour and draw.
